Booking A Flight to Kuantan Airport

The Kuantan International Airport is one of three airports serving the towns of Kuantan and Yangshuo. This airport serves commercial flights and domestic flights in addition to international flights arriving from countries such as Japan, China and Korea. Though the airport can handle over a thousand flights a year, only a fraction of the flights are able to accommodate more than two hundred passengers.

In 2020, the Kuantan airport handled nearly 225,000 passengers, though only just over two thousand flights were landing there. In 2020, however, the airports saw just under 22 charter flights arrive at the airport every week, making Kuantan Sultan Ahmed Shah Airport the second busiest airport in the East Coast of peninsular Malaysia, only behind Taipei's Keelung Airport.

A small number of flights originating in the city of Kuantan arrive at the airport via Singapore. All other flights land there via the inland town of Kuangtung. However, it is not an important link in the international travel route and is not often used by visitors looking to catch a direct flight to the capital city of Yangshuo or other parts of the city.

There is no public transport connecting the Kuantan airport to the other major cities in the peninsular. The only option is the train which starts at the Taipei Main Station. The journey takes over two hours and a train ticket is expensive when compared to a plane ticket.

The other main airport serving the area is the Taipei International Airport, which is just a few miles away. From here travelers have easy access to major cities in Taiwan such as Taichung, Kaohsiung and Kaikoura. The only problem with Taipei is that it is situated in the coastal mountains and not in a valley. Taipei's closest bus station is located in the Taipei District.

There are plenty of hotels and resorts near the airport to cater to all needs of travelers, whether they are planning a trip to Taiwan for business or leisure purposes or if they are simply looking to stay in one of the many accommodations available around the area. However, accommodations in the area tend to be quite expensive.

The price of hotel rooms has been steadily decreasing since the beginning of the new millennium, but it has not reached its current low yet. It has however remained stable at about three hundred dollars per night, making it one of the most expensive places to stay in the country. The resorts have a high standard of service, however, and the accommodation is certainly not cheap, and some of the rooms are furnished.

If you are looking to visit the capital city of Taiwan, then you must make it to the Kuantan airport to catch your flight to Taipei. After that, you can continue to the southern regions of the island, the most famous being the Yangshuo and other areas where ancient history and culture lie. You can even explore the area by visiting the Taoyuan Mountains and other tourist attractions.
